Blackjack.com is now open for money play with single play, multiplayer, matchplay, sit and go and tournaments. Tournaments are starting gradually with a few freerolls and guaranteed tourneys, and should grow fast as the site gets busier.

    US Players are welcome.

And to think that people called ME cheap for taking $50! :joker:

Actually it's a great idea - Open for the first 30 BJT.com members. Use code BJTCOM

    So what do you say?

PS In exchange we PROMISE to post out unbiased playing experiences at your site!

    Tried it......

OK, I got in and tried the site, only event available last night was a "fun money" tournament. Some impressions:
    1. It appears to be a one-on-one matchplay game. Very, very short matches, too. Luck rules.
    2. Why was I never able to see my opponent's bet first, yet (I think) he could see mine on every hand? Talk about a disadvantage!!!
    3. Can't figure out how to see who is signed up for an event, whether I am also signed up or not.
    4. My first table had appeared but hadn't even started when it locked up and announced that I had won the match. WTF? Then it stayed locked up, if I tried to close it out I was threatened with forfeiting the match. Had to sit there and wait for it to do something.
    5. I found the cards to be hard to see. Not size-wise, they simply don't stand out well enough from the background.
    6. Tried the more conventional casino-style BJ for fun money, made $100. But my bankroll only went up $90.

Final impression - maybe it'll be fun the play those little freerolls, but I'd never invest my own real $$$ there with so many bugs in the site.
    Especially that last one!!!

    Quick reply to Leftnut

    1. The tournaments are head to head knockout and we can vary the game play by setting the number of hands per game and number of games per match.
    2. There are both blind betting and Open betting tournaments (it tells you which on the tournament lobby). Obviously blind betting means no one sees their opponents bet until the deal. This means you have to try and anticipate your opponents bet and adds a new skill dimension.
    3. You are right, you cannot see who has signed up for a tournament although you can see how many have. If there is demand for this then we will add this function.
    4. We will look into the tournament and see what happened
    5. We have noted your comments on the card design
    6. We have checked your account and emailed you a Statement which appears all correct. Can you let us know which items you disagree with.

I had that thought, too, when I saw it last night, but at least "real money" details weren't posted (and now I see that the play money details have been removed). Couldn't understand the info when it was still in the posting anyway! :p

Thanks to the person posting as blackjack.com for responding to my questions. Sounds like the folks behind this site are trying to be on top of things. My suggestions are an FAQ page on the site, plus moving the Live Chat link higher on the site's front page so that it's more obvious. I didn't see it until I was doublechecking for an FAQ link this morning.

One word of caution for the site's owners, however. Don't keep secrets. The UBT is taking an incredible amount of heat right now for (again!) keeping secrets until they absolutely must be revealed. Don't let yourselves fall into this trap. A lot of the goodwill that UBT has tried to create was flushed right down the crapper with their latest faux pas.

Sorry, Fred - I thought everyone was aware of UBT's latest public relations disaster regarding the shows that are going to be broadcast on the upcoming Season 2 - and the shows that are being held for Season 3. It appears that every Internet qualifier from the delayed shows (other than your Venetian event) were left with the impression that they'd be in Season 2, and there's some highly ticked off people over the situation. I was merely using it as an example to blackjack.com for why adequate communication is vital.
