is it true that there will not be another season of wsob?

 

I dont know when the satellites at various casinos started last year.. if they dont the show is prob history. That would stink because the quality of the production has been better y/y.

 

WSOB future up in the air...

With the success of High Stakes Poker and the newly acquired successful World Poker Tour, GSN may not continue the World Series of Blackjack. Is this for sure, NO, but one thing for sure we as players need to give our full support to GSN by watching the WSOB to prove to GSN that we do want them to continue with this program.

I also understand that GSN has been move to a higher premium package on most cable providers, but the same happened to me as well. If you really want to see the WSOB and support this program an extra $20.00 or less a month shouldn’t effect you from getting the higher programming package, It’s was the only reason I upgraded, but actually now I found several other station I enjoy watching as well, same with my wife.

Another issue is that GSN just hired a new President and CEO, and no one seems to know what direction the company will be heading at this time.

I hope that the WSOB continues to be offered by GSN. I have been lucky enough to have been on two of the four years and let me tell you first hand, it was a BLAST both years. Should the WSOB be offered next year I highly recommend that you go play in one or more of the satellite qualifiers they offer around the country and try to win a seat.

Reno Dude, You might also check with the Silver Legacy in Reno if that's where you're from, they hosted qualifing events for the 2007 WSOB. If you receive any information a post here would be appreciated.

Hopefully, it is just late. For the 2007 qualifier, the process started in July. I remember because I was there. But, now, it is already September.
