Interesting Notes about the finalists:
- Kenneth Macway, who took first place, was playing for the first time at the Hilton.
- Richard Swogger's second place berth is impressive considering it's his FIRST TOURNAMENT.
- Beverly Ryan accompanied her husband who had won his entry in a California casino. She decided to play the Hilton event for the first time, and finished third.
- Gayle Flanagin made the final table here in only her SECOND TOURNAMENT.
