This event sponsored by Henry Tamburin's BJInsider.com was held at River Palms Casino in Laughlin, NV. The rules were 6 decks, dealt face up. Bankrolls were $500 with betting from $5 to $200 per hand. Late surrender was allowed. Each round was 24 hands.

There were a total of 33 entries at $150+$15, and 36 re-entries at $75, generating a prize pool of $7,650. In addition to the finalists' prizes detailed below, six non-advancing semifinalists received $115 each.

Finalists, starting in seat 1 were Keith Wolf, Chuck Easley, Fred Ihrer, Barb Townsend, Tom Karll, and Tammy Edney.

Note that on hand 24 Tom Karll overbet, placing a $225 bet even though the max allowed bet was $200. The rule in this particular tournament was if an overbet occurs on the final hand, the excess chips will be lost no matter what the outcome of the hand. In this case, Karll doubled for another $200, and ended up losing $425 on the hand. If he had won the hand instead, he would have lost the $25 and then been paid $400 for a net win of $375.
