The First-Ever TBT event put on by the Tournament Blackjack Players Association was held at River Palms Casino in Laughlin, NV. The rules were 6 decks, dealt face up. Bankrolls were $500 with betting from $5 to $200 per hand. Late surrender was allowed. Each round was 24 hands.
There were a total of 33 entries at $300+$30, and 35 re-entries at $150, generating a prize pool of $15,150. In addition to the finalists' prizes detailed below, six non-advancing semifinalists received $228 each.
Finalists, starting in seat 1 were Bob Horinek, Richard Kuczek, "Rebuy Bob" Swanson, Henry Tamburin, Lowell Strate, and Keith Wolf.
