Good to meet some new members and see everyone again. I thought there were more BJT members on the final table but you will find I am the worst with names. I have enough trouble counting chips, must be the memory is failing and eyesight is just enough to estimate stacks. I know if Monkey was trying to figure my bets out he was probably having a headache. It was good turnout again. They drew 10 names to fill quarter final tables to 72 players. Seven per table in first round. Six per table in quarter and semi, with one wild card for seven on final. I'll have to see about coming again, it is a long drive and would have been longer had I not at least won enough to cover my losses at the real tables.

 

Good Job also to Pat Taylor and The_Professional for making the final table!

 

Congratulations to The Professional, Pat, and Johnny 21. I really enjoyed playing the tournament and visiting with everyone. This tournament is rapidly getting to be one of the most competitive in the country.

Thanks to Cindy and the staff for putting on such a great event and for the great hospitality.

 

Thank you for all the good wishes. It was a great tournament again. Cindy keeps making them better and better. It was a lot of fun to meet some more members from this site. I was pretty happy to finish third after getting drawn into the finals in the first place, and then not winning a hand until hand 15 out of 25 !

 

Even better than originally reported. 3 members at the final table! Good work Johnny, Pat and The_Professional!

Does anyone know if the player in the motorized wheelchair on the final table was a BJT member as well? I thought the St Louis Mafia was rooting for him, so I figured he must have been with them. I also thought there were at least five of the seven possible BJT members on the table.

 

St Louis was heavily represented by at least 3 out of 7. The player (Jimmy) to the right of the player in wheelchair is a regular tournament player but not sure if he is a member here. He got 4th place in the last two tournaments.

 

Thanks for the info. I thought I had seen Jimmy before, so I assumed he was a member as well. The two I didn't think were members were the guy who busted out first and the winner. I thought they got to the finals by playing big and getting lucky. Obviously the winner learned to back off and play smarter to win in the end. Nice to see everyone, but forgive me if I don't remember your name, although I think I am still pretty good with faces.

 

I overheard someone asking Jim if he was a BJT member and he said no. I'm fairly confident that just 3 of the seven are (Jonny21, The_Professional and ptaylorcpa).
3 of 7 is very good representation!
Jim is a seasoned tourney player. Plays most Golden Nugget events in Vegas.
