The Cruise ship is almost sold out from what I am being told. If you want to go at the discounted rates you need to be booked (with deposit down) by this Monday at 5:00 PM PST.

I hope we get a few more players, but the rates will go up after Monday.

Does this mean the tourney is almost sold out and it will be a big turn out?

    No

All it means is that anyone wanting to go needs to book by tomorrow or pay a higher fee for their passage.

I don't know how many we will get from the passengers onboard to play in the tournaments, but their will be over 2,400 passengers. I would think we can get 20-50 of then to play in our tournaments, (I hope anyway).

    Passenger Entries

Have you ever seen the egos of some of those shipboard casino players? If they'll pay $200 for a half hour bicycle excursion, they'll jump at the chance to win big at BJ. The ship just needs to help you promote the tournament. They publish a daily whats happenening news letter that goes to each cabin. And a poster in the casino will also get the word out. Will there be any BJ seminars available? Maybe Max and Henry can put on a little dog and pony show about tournament BJ or card counting. Can the ship bar APs from the casino? Carnival isn't owned by GVR is it? NFF

    Good news

I tried to call the travel agency earlier today (to update my reservation) & the office was busy with incoming calls, so I had to call back. Evidently, some you procrastinators out there have decided to lock in the lower fee before today's expiration. Go for it.

    Still can book passage

You can still book passage on the cruise after today (as long as they have cabins). But because we worked up a package and the passengers that booked in that package the fee per tournament was only $20 per player. All passengers that booked differently will be paying closer to $100 to $120 fee per tournament to off set the dealers expence.

I have no problem setting up these events as long as I can cover my cost, but I am not paying the extra for events I am not even playing in.

Jim did call me today and told me that a few more players did call up and book today.
