Does anyone know of any regular tournaments or upcomings dates in Atlantic City? It would be great to have some tournaments closer to home! Thanks to all.

Why is it that Atlantic City is such a wasteland when it comes to tournaments? I've never understood why those casinos don't have more open events. Almost all of their events are invitational, and there aren't even many of those.

I haven't checked all my resources yet, but Henry Tamburin's site mentioned something Dec 12&13 at Caesar's with a prize pool of $100,000. As usual, checking the casino website yields absolutely no information.

If anyone calls and checks this out, post a message here with the info. Thanks!

The only way to get into the Caesars event is to have a host at the property put you in. This event is for comped players only. Rated at 100.00 average bet, and have a minimum of 40 hours rated play. Believe me, Atlantic City is not giving away 100K prize pool to the bus crowd.
Most of the tournaments in AC are held off the casino floor ( in the banquet rooms) to by pass the Casino Control Commission regulations.
There may be opportunity after this weeks airing of the Hilton Million Dollar Blackjack tournament on the travel channel. Players should e-mail the marketing departments at their favorite AC casino and urge them to offer blackjack tournaments. Regards, Rich McKelvey

    Ceasars AC BJ Tournament

I spoke with the Marketing Director at Ceasar's AC about their upcoming tournament in December. It is by invitation only limited to 60 players who can "afford to lose $50K". It is a winner-take-all event with a prize of $120k to one person. I infer from this that they want to attract at least 60 x $50k= $3M action outside the tournament. So their risk is about $2k per person ($120k) to attract at least $3M of action.
