Results in Linz Hello all, perhaps some may be interested. I decided to play the tournament some days before. They still had 10 tickets. As far as I know, it was not sold out totally. The tournament started with a nice welcome drink for the players. After that the first round was devided in two rounds. Mostly with 6 players at the tables and two advance. BR was 3000. Min b. 100 max b. 1000. 21 rounds. Rebuy option 1500 extra chips for 120 untiol round 15. And and add on untill round 18 only if you have rebuyed before. 700 Chips for 30 €. Split untill 4 times. DD on any 2. BJ pays 1:1,5. Next round was the hope round, where people who didn`t advanced in the first round could buy in for 150 € (this round with no rebuys and add ons). Top 2 advanced from this hope round to the last 70. Last 70 was played with 7 people per table and top 2 advance. After that round, there was the semi finals with 3 tables á 7 people, top 2 adavance and best 3 rd (not best 3 rd BR, best difference to the 2 nd on a table). After that roudn we played the finals. The tournament was over at app. 0:30 am in the morning. I met some players there from last year and a group I know very good from Berlin or also called "Team Berlin". One of this guys was Bernd, who also played the Palms UBT Event and the WSOB Qualifier this year. Also his girlfrind Tina was with them and some other friends of them. I finished first at my first two rounds. In the semifinal I had to make a move in hand 16, because I had two people with a lead of over 2 max bets. My move failed and I didn`t make it to the finals (I finished 16 th). Bernd was more lucky. In this tournament, there was also the option, that you can insure for a BJ with tha halt untill the double of your bet amout. So he insured on one hand with 2 k and wan. He got a little bit lucky and finished 3 rd - which is a very nice result. Good job Bernd, again! The food and drinks there were very good. Free drinks all night long. First class food. Congratulation Bernd Glad Bernd did well (3rd place at the European championship), sorry you both you and Tina didn't advance to the final table Sirklas. I was fortunate enough to meet Klas, Bernd, and Tina on the second Blackjack Cruise I hosted. All three were very nice and excellant players as well. Tina got 2nd place a few years back in the European championship. Continued success all, hopefully one day I may get to come play in this event.
