I just approved the August 12th, 2006, 5 day cruise to the Bahamas leaving from Jacksonville, Fl. I should being getting all the booking information later today. I will post all the travel and tournament information later tonight along with the pricing.

Please note that some of the tournaments maybe split into multiple days based on the number of players that we have. Unlike last cruise we will be hosting the tournaments in the lounge area and not in our own conference room.

Also the players maybe limited to just one re-buy per tournament (once again based on the number of players in each tournament).

I am also getting with Global-Player to start up some online staellite tournaments where you may win your cruise. I am giving the players the option of getting the cruise or the cash as first prize. I hope this get us extra players that are not planning on going on the cruise.

    Cruise information

To play in the tournaments you must book through Jim Thomas at "Point Loma Travel" at (800) 783-8646. Carnival will not allow anyone not in our group to play in the tournaments (this happened on the last cruise as well).

    The prices are as follows:
    inside cabin:
    (based on double)

    $380 pp 3/4 $255 pp

    Oceanview:

    $445 pp " $275 pp

Each cabin will get a $50 per cabin credit.

$200 Deposit Due: 1-11-06 Final Payment Due: 6-6-06

Carnival will refund 100% if cancelled NO LATER than JUNE 8, 2006. However, the agency will charge a cancellation fee. Need to ask Jim about that.

Jim only blocked 50 cabins for this cruise (100+ players), so they may go fast.

PS. No balcony or suites avalible on this cruise.

    Blackjack/Poker cruise

I was asked (by a casino) to help organize a "Scotty Nguyen Poker Cruise", but hosting one of my "Blackjack Cruise" at the same time so besides the regular BJ players we can get the poker over flow for bigger tournaments.

This sounds like a great idea to me and if the casino wants to spend the money it could be on TV.

It looks like plans for cruise will be sometime in early 2007.

    Cruise fee's and Cancellation fee's

An $80 per player fee will again be charged which will cover all three tournaments. I will also offer the $5 for an extra 100 in chips before each round.

Cancellation fee's will be $25 per person and once full payment is due $50 per person Jim told me today.

Since we will have more players and no conference room this time I had to have an increase on the cabins.

Inside will go for $380 per person ($45 over normal)
    3rd and 4th person $255 ($20 over)

Oceanview will go for $440 per person ($45 over)
    3rd and 4th person $275 ($20 over)

This will cover the extra table, dealers, travel, storage...etc.

I am hoping to start online satellite tournaments before the first of the year at Global-Player.

I also have a casino interested in sending 5 couples or more so don't wait, we only have 50 cabins blocked for this cruise.

Prices will be going up after Jan. 11, 2006 by $20 per person.

    My Bad!

They do still have cabins for the cruise, I was mis-informed.

However as we found out last year, anybody wanting to play in the tournaments must book through Jim Thomas or Carnival won't let you play in our tournaments.

Can you do live money tourneys such as the old Frontier tourneys?

    Don't think so!

I really don't care to host "Live Money" anyway, I want to keep the cost down for all the players.

Another reason is I don't want to bankroll it.

    Cruise Tournaments

Jeff, the $80 fee is to cover the total costs (tables, dealers, etc.) of all three tournaments. The entry fee money is returned, in total, to the winning players. These tournaments are put on completely independent of the cruise line. Normally, blackjack tournaments are held to bring in players to also play the regular tables, and thus offset, or surpass the cost associated with holding a tournament, which most of us never consider. So the fee is in place to cover all costs to put on these events. Explore the other topics at the top of this page, and the main site at ..... http://www.blackjackinfo.com/
They are packed with a great deal of important information.

I'm thinking the end of May 07"

I am thinking next May out of Galveston, TX maybe the next Blackjack Cruise.

Nothing is planned at this time, I'll get the August BJ cruise over before I start another one.

With any luck I may have an interested casino to get involved with the next BJ cruise.
