I stepped inside this casino the first time about 2 months before the first of this elimination series of events and I've missed only one, only because it just couldn't be avoided.

This has become a favorite Blackjack tournament destination for many players. In the short time since the first of this tournament series in July 2015 Cindy and her great staff have done so many of the right things to earn the loyalty of so many players, from near and far. From a guaranteed $20K at startup to it ‘s current Guaranteed $40K cash and $10K Promo this has become a better value from event to event.

Bargain buy-ins, great rules, 2 players from first round tables, 3 from quarterfinal tables, Plus wild cards, Lots of good food, and the pleasure of visiting with the friendly staff and lots of your Blackjack tournament playing friends from across the Country.

Great tournament! Nice casino! Nice rooms! Good variety of Video Poker games and denominations! Very good live Blackjack tables! (Double deck pitch games, and 6 deck shoe. And No Ante!). And .......Lots of friendly folks!

I was just asked to clarify that this is a “series” of three separate and individual $50K events scheduled to be held in 2017. April 29-30 event, one on July 22-23, and another on October 14-15. All are Elimination format tournaments.

The word "series" could have mistakenly indicated that more than one tournament must be played to win. I apologize for not being clear.

 

I talked briefly with Cindy today and she said things are looking good for this event.
Those that haven't tried this place should make an attempt. I fully agree with all that PitchMan said.

It'll be good to see you guys there. It's always a fun and relaxing couple of days. I guess it could be considered a retreat of sorts! It's really kinda like a family reunion... Without those pesky relatives

For anyone who has never been to Buffalo Run before I should tell you that you may want to come hungry for dinner Friday night. The steak house there is a real sleeper. I've had Halibut in Alaska on several visits there and it's as good at at this steak house as any I had in Anchorage, and everyone I've talked to has lots of good to say about the other menu items. I say Friday night because on Saturday night Cindy puts on a very nice dinner for the tournament players. The chef does a great job on that too.

 

PitchMan-Thanks for the Halibut tip. If the Chef is reading, consider this post as my order for Friday night.

 

Dang it!!! Looks like a BJT retreat, indeed. Wish I could, but at least I'll be able to attend many more BJT's in the very near future. Best of good luck and great cards to all who compete there, and hope everyone has a fantastic time.

 

Well. Just when I decided to go. As if the level of competition wasn't already high enough.

 

I was thinking the same thing! In truth, I'm glad Ken is coming to this venue. I've not seen him for a lot of years so it will be nice in that respect.
There are so many other nice people that typically play this event and coupled with the good job that Cindy and her staff are noted for, it's fun looking forward to.

I can't wait to see so many tournament friends and play a great tournament. Like Pitchman, I look forward to the halibut dinner on Friday.

 

I am so sorry I haven't posted sooner but I have been so busy!! Lots of good stuff going on and I can't believe this tournament crept up on me the way it did!! Turnout is looking good and I have a few rooms left at the tournament rate but those go fast. 918-541-6249.

It was a pleasure getting to connect some bjt.com handles with faces for the first time and it’s always great getting to visit with so many other friends in this cordial and comfortable, yet very competitive setting. Too bad this event is only three times a year. I hope to see you all again in July and October.
