Well we are already set for the next Blackjack Cruise. It will be a winter cruise on January 26th (Saturday) - 31th (Thursday), 2008 aboard the Carnival "Fantasy" out of New Orleans, going to Costa Maya and Cozumel.

This will be the same cruise we just took, except we got some great prices for the January trip.

Inside cabin @ $373.68 per passenger, compared to the July cruise @ $633.68. This is $260.00 savings.

Oceanview @ $423.68 per passenger, compared to the July cruise @ $693.68. This is a $270.00 savings.

Balcony Suite @ $913.68 per passenger, compared to the July cruise @ $1,173.68. This is a $260.00 savings.

Penthouse Suite @ $1,113.68 per passenger, compared to the July cruise @ $1,373.68. This is a $260.00 savings.

*Note: all pricing including taxes and port charges.

There will be a one time $80 event fee as normal and the entry fees for the main events will be $300 each with re-buys offered at $150 each.

Both of the cruise events will be TBT for this next cruise.

Important update on Blackjack IV Cruise

I received important information regarding the Blackjack Cruise IV on January 26 - 31, 2008 from New Orleans. Rates are going up on this cruise and the rates I have on hold are only guaranteed until August 13, 2007. Carnival said they may be able to give an extension on the first deposit date, however if so it will only be for a short time. Carnival will not be able to let me know until Friday, August 10, 2007 if they will be able to give an extension or if I have to release the unsold space. It will depend on the stateroom availability at that time. As of today if I were to have to rebook what I have on hold now the rates would be $35.00 per person more and they do not have any category 11 or 12 staterooms available. However I have 6 each of category 11 and 12 Suites on hold at this time. Therefore anyone planning on booking this cruise should confirm your booking ASAP. You will need to pay $50.00 per person deposit for Inside and Outside cabins or $250.00 per person for the category 11 and 12 Suites to lock in the rates. A second deposit for Inside and Outside cabins of $200.00 per person will be due by September 25, 2007. Please note deposit is refundable up until final payment is due on November 21, 2007.

Anyone that was on the July 14 cruise should of received a "Welcome Home" email or letter from Carnival with a savings on your next cruise if booked within 60 days. If you did not get one of these letters please let me know.

If you have any questions please let me know. I look forward to seeing you all on the next cruise.

    Deposits extended to September

Good news, Tammy told me today the deposit deadline for the Blackjack Cruise has been extended until September.

Several players signed up this past weekend (around 19) while at the at Laughlin events.

This cruise was the same as in July and so far my favorite of the 3 cruises we have taken. Now with a $260 per player savings per passenger it makes it that much nicer.

And added plus is by hosting it in January, it will give all the players up north a chance to get away from the cold and come play some tournaments.

And for all those married who's wifes and husbands don't play in the tournaments, the cruise are great way to keep them happy and allow you a chance to play in several tournament events, while having off time to spend with them doing other things then hanging in a casino.

Hope to see you on the January cruise.

Tex: you used to run on-line satellites for your cruises, have you considered running them again.

    Not online

I'm not messing with any online satellites until the laws change. I am working on getting a few land based casinos to offer cruise satellites.

    Deposit Date

Anyone thinking about going on the January 26, 2008 cruise that has not paid the deposit yet needs to do so by September 19, 2007. The amount due is now $250.00 per person.

Anyone that was on the July cruise needs to book before Tuesday, Sep. 11 to get the extra $25.00 per person discount.

    Blackjack Cruise IV Update

    Hey everyone,

If you are thinking about going on the January 26 - 31, 2008 cruise you need to make your reservations now. Some of the rates have already gone up and space is limited. The longer you wait to book the more the rates will go up and the chance of not getting the category you want.

The full deposit of $250.00 per person is due at time of booking and we only have a few cabins left in our blocked space.

Deposit is refundable until November 21, 2007

Don't forget you also get a $75.00 shipboard credit per stateroom when you book before October 4, 2007.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Cruise Ship Cabins

    Ma'am
A pleasure seeing yoiu again in Las Vegas
Thanks for the summary/update/reminder re the Jan cruise. I see that there are Ocean View staterooms still available to the public on "lower" levels (at lower prices). Can these be booked through you? Or can the "guaranteed oceanview" class be booked though you?

    Answer to Chipsmccoy's Question

It was a pleasure seeing you in Vegas also.

In answer to your question - The rates that are available with Carnival individual reservations do not include the $75.00 per cabin shipboard credit or the added $45.00 dealer fee. You also must book with in the group to be able to play in the Rick's Blackjack Tournaments this is Carnivals rule.

In order to play in the tournaments we have to book the space through the group department and they do not book the Ocean view guarantee.

If you have any other questions please let me know

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply - yes, I am aware of what is included and not included in what you have reserved and that one must book through you in order to be allowed to play in the tournaments. My question though, was in effect - once this period of your blocked rooms end, can one/must one still book through you in order to go on the cruise and play in the tournaments? I would think that folks can still book the cruise and participate in the tournaments once your deadline for blocked rooms has passed. I would suspect that it will be at the prevailing market price, plus the tournament fee. The "6" catagory oceanview cabin you mentioned is competitively priced without the shipboard credit and the tournament fee relative to what is currently available to the public.

The constraints of our decision to go will likely not be resolved until after your deadline. Is the "tournament fee" charged for each of the two people in the stateroom if only one will be participating in the tournaments?

    Booking after the Friday deadline

    Chips,

Yes I can still book cabins at the market rate plus the dealer fee after the dead line on Friday based on availablity. Even if you book after the deadline if you want to play in the Tournament you still must book through me. I can still add people to the group booking as long as cabins are available.

The "dealer fee" that is included in the rates I have quoted is for the 1st and 2nd person in the cabin for the group. I have some people going that are not playing in the tournaments that are still paying the fee this is to cover the expence for Rick to bring the needed dealers. The other tournament fees are charged on board the ship by Rick and only the players pay these fees. If you have any other questions about the fees Rick would be the one to ask.

    $45 Fee

I take this to mean that the $45 fee is "per cabin" (up to two people), and not per person then.

    $45 fee

    Chips,

I am sorry for the confusion about the dealer fee. The fee is per person for the 1st and 2nd person in the cabin, any extra people in the cabin do not pay this fee. The fee has been added into the per person rates quoted.
