The $1mil tournament at Comanche Nation and Red River Casinos is coming up Dec 8-14. Has anyone here qualified ? And if so, are you coming to play ? A list of qualifiers for the Red River location is posted on their website. The list for Comanche Nation is only posted at the casino.

I know I have seen a difference in the rules this year. It says that the top 150 advance to round 2. I think there are less people playing this year. In years past, several people are no shows.

    comanche $1mil.

We visited both the lawton & devol casinos thur. Learned that , if you qualified at devol , you will play the first 3 rounds at devol. The semi & finals will be at lawton. The 1st round at devol will send 150 players to 2nd round. We assume lawton will do the same. Could not find anyone at lawton who knew what was going on. We were told earlier that the whole tournament would be at lawton. You can get your starting times at devol on their website. G.L.

    $1 mil tournament

The last two years were posted. I didn't check for this years. The last two had the full 600 entered. This year only 532. 248 at Comanche Nation and 284 at Red River. 150 advance to second round at each place after the two day accumulation round. My Monday round I ended with 1080. Highest chip count I seen so far 2600. Keep my 1000 on Wednesday and I should be fine. The last two years all that was needed was 1600 to advance. All the rules still the same here at Comanche Nation. Check past post for description of tournament. Eastxpro finished in the money last year.

    $1 mil tournament

Just finished my second session at Comanche Nation. Ended with 1200 and won my table. It was announced that there wasn't even 150 players left with chips to advance. When I played at 7pm they only had 119 players left. Anybody with chips would advance. The wildcards in these tournaments are important to watch. If you can't win your table to advance the wildcard is all you need. It's going to be pretty low the way things are going. How are things going at Red River? What the chip counts like?

I ended up with $1490 and won my table the first day. I play again tomorrow night. I'm just hoping to walk away with any kind of cash.

Just got home from playing second opening round.

Monday I ended up with 1640, Wednesday I ended up with 1050!

Total of 2690. Hopefully that will be enough to advance and be a good starting bankroll for the second round.

Does anyone know how they determine the second round seating assignments? Do they do it according to bankrolls or is it a random draw?

Good to hear from you again, Landlord. Haven't heard a peep out of you since our mutually horrible experience at that Winstar Million quarterfinal table.

From what I've been hearing, your 2690 should be golden. No worries! Good luck to you at the next level - and the same to all of our BJT.com friends who advance.

    Skipper and Nut!

Thank you for the kind words of support! I have spent the last few months trying to get my foot back in the stirrup of the saddle. It has been hard and my desire to play any tournaments had faded. However, red river just happen to have this tournament just in time to "force" me to play. I guess once a bj tournament player, always a bj tournament player? When I saw my name on the list I figured, what the hell, I have as good of a chance as anyone! The only way that I am certain to not win is to not show up!

Enough of that. When I arrived Wednesday night, I was in 6th out of 221 players. I finished with the 2690 total as previously stated. Since the bankroll carries over to the next round, I can only hope that the other 5 people at my table are in the low numbers.

2 will advance from each table in round 2 and 1 will advance in the third round. Keep in mind that the bankroll from each round carries over to the next. It will be exciting to arrive Saturday and see where I am in the rankings out of the other 221 players.

Hey Nut, I am sure that next August we will very possibly be sitting next to each other again and this time lets have a much more favorable outcome!

They usually line up the players from high to low on the tables. You could be one of the highs. So far, the high here 3800. What kind of chip counts at Red River. No need To worry here at Comanche Nation. They don't even have 150 to advance. So many players busting out.

    Great Cards...

    Hey Landlord:

Great cards to you on Saturday my friend!

As far as next August; if there is another Windstar tourney , I WILL see YOU in the FINALS brother! My time is coming, and I have to try and "just do it" before our new Pres. Barack Hussein Osama forces me to leave the country before all the addtional trouble starts as a result of his moving "off the charts" to the left...

May have to take up limited Blackjack in the Philippines, although no tournaments there that I'm aware of. Oh well. Life goes on... LOL
