Do you plan to do this more?

This looks like a great vacation. Not sure if we can make it this year, but it's definitely on the short list in future years. This could be an annual (or more often) event.

    One at a time

If this one goes off well I am sure I will host another one next year. The biggest negitive I have found for this one is the number of days for this cruise. Several players couldn't make it for the nine days. Next year (if we have it) I am looking at a possible 5 day cruise.

But before worrying about next year we need to get this one under our belt.

    Length of cruise

    Rick,

You are right, the 8 days is probably a couple days to long. Since we sail on Monday and don't return till the following Tuesday, it cuts out at least seven days for the workweek for those of us that have to hold down jobs to finance our habit. :)

The one advantage of a longer cruise is that you have more days at sea and that is the only time I think you can hold the tournament. I know of a lot of ships they can't open the casino while they are in port.

My vote for next year is to find something that allows only taking a week away from the job, preferably sailing on a weekend and returning on one.

Thanks for all the hard work in getting this one organized.

    No Casino

Nice thing about these tournaments are they are not being held in the casino so we don't have to answer to their rules. I am letting 19 year olds play if they wish and we can open while at port or sea.

I think we may have a Griffin Book with us this trip and when we get out to sea we can throw it overboard...LOL.

As I keep saying these tournaments are for the players. If we make this a big event maybe the casinos will take notice and follow suit.
