Erica Schoenberg is familiar to many here from her appearances in previous WSOB and UBT events. She's been focusing mostly on poker in recent years, and that's paid off big now. She just took third place in World Series of Poker event # 38. The $1500 entry fee No Limit Holdem event drew a field of 2778 players.

Erica's third place finish was worth a nice $261,646. Congrats Erica!

    Wow!

That's freakin' awesome! Congratulations are in order in a BIG way for Erica.

Between her big "hit", Kenny E. making a final table, and some of HD's great showings pre-WSOP, it seems that TBJ players are showing them poker folks that TBJ hotshots aren't just one-trick ponies! :D

    For the record

There are several other very good BJ players who play poker as pro's now!

Chris (Jesus) Ferguson - had won the $100,000 1st place Startdust blackjack tournament years ago.

Andy Bouch - was a member of the MIT blackjack team.

Blair Rodman - has won many blackjack events and made the 1st LVH million dollar finals.

Fred David - made the LVH million dollar finals.

Rumor has it that Johnny Chan and his wife are excellent blackjack players, the same goes for Russ Hamilton.

And those are just the ones I know or heard about.
