I am going to play this tournament this weekend (free invite) and was wondering if anyone here had played it before. I was especially curious as to what sort of VP game they use in the tourney. I am mostly a table games player but I guess I play enough VP while sitting at bars that I got an invite. I usually play JOB and have it down but I will need to brush up on strategy if they use a different game for the tournament. Thanks for any info you might supply.
Double Bonus I haven't played a vp tournament there in some time. The last one I played was double bonus.
Well, What happened in NO? Not hearing anything is not a good sign that any members did any good in New Orleans this weekend.
Well, I certainly don't have anything positive to report. I didn't break 500 on either of my two rounds which left me way short of the 3800 it took to win. My total was 1900 which included a 1000 bonus for registering the day before the tournament. My girlfriend only did marginally better. Still, it was a fun trip. It is hard to not have fun in New Orleans, especially with Harrah's picking up the tab for most of the expenses. They used DDB as the game platform for the tournament.
