Sunday July 3rd, InterPoker is holding a satellite event for the Caribbean Poker Classic, a nine-day poker tournament on the Caribbean island of St Kitts.

All the entry fees are paid out from 1st to 20th place, PLUS there are 10 seats in the CPC to be given away.
    Each seat winner gets
    • Entry into the main CPC event ($6300)
    • a 9 night stay at the St Kitts Marriott (Nov 25 - Dec 4)
    • $1400 cash into your poker account
    • $1000 cash when you arrive in St Kitts
With each of these packages worth $10K, the total is a $100K add.

Entry to Interpoker's satellite event is $25 entry + $2.50 fee.
The tournament starts at 3 PM EST on Sunday.

Dang! Jim is right, and I just missed signing up.
I must have grabbed the time for another tournament when I posted the original message. My apologies if anyone else missed out!

Bad beat story number 3 million

This was an incredible overlay. There were 950 players at $25 each for a pot less than $24000. They paid it all back from 11th place tp 120th place, and they added $100,000 worth of Carribbean tourney packages that were very nice for those who finished from 1 to 10. 11th through 20th paid just under $500. 120th paid $77.

Anyway, I had about 9,000 in chips after the second break, and was the small blind. I had a pair of Q's. It is only me and the big blind left, so I raised 1600. He called. The flop is nothing. I bet 2000, he calls. The turn is nothing, I bet all-in, and he calls. The last card is nothing, that is, no straights or flushes or pairs or any card greater than a Queen. He has KK. Yea, the last player left in the hand, and I have to pick on a pair of Kings. I finished 212th.

Ken, thanks for the info. We appreciate you looking for good deals. This one was close to being really nice.

    Interesting Tournament

I had the good fortune to play and had a stack in the top 15 after an hour and a half. Got too greedy and didn't hold on to my big stack. Ended up 132, just short of the money.

One thing I can say about that site - the British tend to be very civil in their chats. Not a bunch of trash talk like on Party Poker.

    Thanks again Ken.

  6. Great Value

Ken, thanks again for alerting us to that promo. It was as good a deal as I have seen.

I finished in the money but fell short of snagging the top ten deals. Those were really a tremendous carrot to shoot for and I hope they do it again.
