Stardust-Nov.2-3 Played in three previous. No invite for this one. Suggestions on entering, if possible?
Have you called yet? I've been on and off the invite list myself from time to time. Calling may yield some results, or at least some more information. However, if you persuade them to allow you to play after not being officially invited, you'll likely be given the dreaded late playing time. One irritating aspect of an otherwise excellent tournament program is the Stardust tournament staff's handling of these late playing time issues. Many players have been told that all of the early playing slots are filled up, and the earliest they can play is 3 PM. However, on tournament day, there are lots of seats open in the earlier rounds for people to rebuy after losing their first attempt. Frustrating, to say the least. I don't necessarily mind being treated as a second-class citizen, if I haven't been giving them the all-important table play on previous trips. But, I'd like to be told that honestly, rather than them using the "We're all filled up" excuse. That tournament hasn't filled up in a while. Back on topic... Give the tournament staff a call, and see what you can find out about your status. Historically, the December tournament has been easier to get in than other events during the year. Have you called the Stardust? What is your normal table play avg.? How many hours to you play per day avg.? The Stardust is looking for 4 hours per day (avg.) with $45 per bet avg. This will get you invited not only to their pay entry tournaments, but their comp tournaments as well. Contact me if you have any problems getting in.
