Ok, I just played in the one on the 14th. Derrick and Sam were wonderfully helpful in getting me up to speed on the house rules and the quirks of the game and the House. I've updated the calendar entry to reflect the cash drawing of five $100 bonus prizes after the final table is played out. This is bonus money from TM above and beyond the entry fee-tournament payout (49 entry max X $50 to get the $2450 total prize money). On my table, I was seat 2...and I played ok. Just didn't get good hands when I bet up. Wasn't first to chip-out, was 3rd to bankrupt myself. Did get $10 free slot play for signing up. So did my traveling companion. She flipped her's into nearly $80. Mine became $2.25. LOL. I then sat at a 5deck CSM at $5 table, no DAS (mrph?) which sucked as it was 2s I was splitting. Donated $40 over 40 minutes, which is fine. Just trying to get a feel. Had been told off by Derrick and Sam from the $5DD game as it paid 6:5...but I'd already made that call when I saw that as well. All their tables were full before the tournament closed, and they didn't flip the tournament tables into cash games as it was a week night. If we wanted to play bingo, they have a big bingo room. I have no clue about bingo, but their card packs (computer mostly?) were pricey for me. I'd rather play cards or slots for that kind of money. Next month when we are doing our trip to see the racehorses again, we're thinking of swinging out and trying it again. Now that we know where they are and can plan a little better timing for it. Oh, and the buffet was pretty good for being that far out. Crab legs, lots of shrimp and prime rib for $17/ea.
