Women blackjack players It is a nice picture, but a misplaced sentiment. Some of the best blackjack players I know (as well as some of the best Texas Hold'em players and thoroughbred handicappers) are women. At the truckdriver/waitress-in-the-local-diner level, the sentiment may be true; most of the women I know are business executives, entrepreneurs, or graduate business students. Among that group are some of the toughest players I have EVER encountered. After seeing them shred some very competent players in high stakes poker games, and seeing them mercilessly manipulate dealers and pit bosses in Vegas while raking in substantial profit at the tables, I think anyone who believes women are "not as good as men at gambling" is misguided. Trust me about women being good BJ and poker players is WELL known to me. I've had my head handed to me by various women players on Global and other sites. LadyG, sweetie, etc... In business, if you posted your posting on a bulletin board, or distributed it over a company intranet, it could easily be interpreted as any one of a laundry list of no-no's, from "creating a hostile workplace" to "sexual harassment." Ban the girls It’s a well-known fact that Bears are attracted to the scent of women who are menstruating. Rick Jensen covers nearly every rule for his forthcoming Blackjack Tournament tour but makes no reference to the possibility of “Casino Bear Attacks”. What are the casino health and safety regulations regarding female tournament players? The game is hard enough without having to worry about freaking Bears wandering into the casino. For personal safety reasons, I have decided not to play any of the live tournament games in the states until the Women/Bear issue is sorted out. Andy.
Andy: Bear Protection: It's a well known preventive formula used in Alaska, the Yukon and Northwest Territories: Bells, Berries and Black Peppper. The Bells help alert you to the location of where the Bear is dumping the hapeless hiker. The Berries and Black Pepper in the residue help identify the body.
