another win for Pitchman....came in 2nd for a nice haul ...almost got 1st think he was $300 short ..... he will be looking for a repeat..... good job
Thanks guys. It's always a pleasure to just make the final table. There's a LOT of very good competition at every one of these events. And, yes George, I think we all look for those repeats, except in this case - Next time I'll be reaching to move up one notch in the final standings . It was by $300. The dealer Blackjack on the next to last hand took me out of a very comfortable position to win it all on the last hand. All the winner had to do was bet right and win his hand, and he did, .....and he did. The rest, as they say, is history. Also, let's congratulate Moses on his success in reaching the final table, with all round equal bragging rights, at the Golden Nugget/Las Vegas. Good job! And speaking of repeats - congratulations also go to Helen, who as far as I know is not a contributor here but a regular competitor in these Blackjack events and a friend to many of us, .......and a frequent past tournament winner. She was also at the final table at the Gold Strike a couple of weeks ago and at the Beau in Biloxi this past weekend.
Great job, Pitchman and Moses! Moses, while you came out west to the Golden Nugget last weekend, I went south to Harrah's in New Orleans. Placed 4th in the Friday 25k tournament and 3rd in the Saturday 50k tournament. Off tomorrow to the Venetian/Palazzo 75k tournament... we'll see! Gronbog, last year you said I've "been knocking on the first place door with several 2nd and 3rd place finishes... time to open that door". I'm trying, OK, I'm trying!! I'll see everyone at Buffalo Run in 3 weeks.
Good job in New Orleans, Dakota. Back to back final tables is not an easy task. I guess I'll see you at Buffalo Run later this month?
