Blackjack Tournament - Quechan Casino

3rd Saturday of each month.  If 40+ players, prize pool is $5,000, if less than 40 players, prize pool is $2,500.  Unlimited rebuys; 15 hands per table, $1,000 in chips to start, min bet is $10, no max.  Single advance.  Up to 7 players per table (depending on number of players in tournament).    Three rounds: first round - semifinal - final table.  Semifinal table played as soon as enough players qualify to make up a semifinal table.  Can reenter after semifinal loss.  No surrender, only one card to split aces.  Double on anything.  Double after split.  Dealer hits soft 17.  During summer months (May through October) expect small fields, 30 to 50 players.  During winter months, expect larger fields, 100+ players (max turnout (January) was 148 players; minimum turnout (October) was 28 players).

Quechan Casino has been off and on about BJ Tournaments.  They are saying they want to do one a month, but this will depend on player support.  Tournaments are posted on their web site.

Prize pool drops to $2,500 if less than 40 players.  All payoffs cut in half.
