Great news! Las Vegas Advisor is offering a FreeRoll Blackjack Tournament at Global Player, in addition to the one sponsored by BlackjackTournaments.com. By special arrangement, Las Vegas Advisor has kindly agreed to allow all BlackjackTournaments.com visitors to participate, even if they already have an account at Global Player. Of course, if you don't have an account, you can sign up for one. If you were too late to get a seat in the BJT Tourn Dec 5th, here's your second chance to get in on a free roll.

The LVA event features $3575 in prize money, with no entry fee to participate. There are 5 different days to participate, and you choose whichever date you prefer. The dates offered are:

Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. Eastern (12 p.m. Vegas time)
Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. Eastern (12 p.m. Vegas time)

Each round will be for 125 players, and should take no more than two hours to complete. (Each household is eligible to participate in only one of the qualifying rounds.) On Sunday Dec 12, at 6 p.m. Eastern (3 p.m. Vegas) the final table will match up the first-place finishers from the 5 days for a winner-take-all $1,000 top prize!

Prize Structure:

Each of the 5 daily freeroll events will have a $515 prize pool. The prize money will be divided as follows:

Final table:

When clicking on one of the tournaments, another popup will open with a link. A click on the link will open the tournament page in the browser where you have to click on "Participate".

Default Ken, Thank You

Ken,
I am amazed at the time you spend keeping us aware of upcoming events such as the LVA Freeroll without a subscrition fee to BJT.com, if my exwife spent as much time cooking dinner as you do keeping us informed I may still be married. I am entered in your upcoming freeroll global tournament and will commit any winnings I may earn (unlikely, I'm a rookie) to help you sponser a 2nd event and i challenge other members of your site to make the same commitment. Competion is the challenge not the money, I don't think the money will change anyone's lifestyle. Although they may not read this post I would like to thank you, S Yama and TxTourPlayer for answering my recent question concerning betting strategy.

Wink LVA freeroll tourney

I signed up last week, sorry I didn't mention anything I thought it was only for LVA members. It was easy to sign up if your already downloaded global. I just signed on like the regular tournaments only using LVA info and password.

Guess I well see ya'll at both freerolls.

Default Clarification

The second and trird round for each day will follow shortly after the last table has completed play. Therefore, anyone participating will only play on your sign up day unless you make the final playoff.

The LVA tournament was originally to be available only to brand-new accounts signed up at Global Player through LVA. That changed during a phone call I had with them last night. They deserve our thanks for opening this up.

Default This time of year, GMT = Eastern time + 5 hrs

Here's the schedule for Greenwich Mean Time:
Dec. 8 at 11 p.m. GMT
Dec. 9 at 11 p.m. GMT
Dec. 10 at 11 p.m. GMT
Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. GMT
Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. GMT

Getting home in time won't be a problem for you Colin. Now, getting up for work on Monday the 13th may be another thing altogether!

And, just a reminder. You'll play only one of the times mentioned above. Players who advance will play again on Dec 12, at 11 p.m. GMT.

Default Email about LVA event

Just to make sure everyone saw this email, about the upcoming LVA event, here's a message from Global Player.

Dear LVA-Tournament participants,

we are happy to announce that the big event you all are waiting for is
coming up shortly! There are some things you might want to know in
advance:

1. new software release
In order to participate in the tournament you have to download the latest
release of our software. You can check if you have the latest version by
starting our casino software. At the top of the window you can see the
version which should be 2.0.14.255. If you have not already installed the
new version, a popup window will inform you that a new version of the
software is available. Choose "yes" to install the update. While the
download is in progress you can use the software as usual. Why not
familiarize yourself with how our blackjack is played using our guest
games? After the download finished you must close the software and restart
it to run the updated version. One of the new main features is the
improved chat function. This way you can talk to other players and the
Global-Player Casino support team while gaming.

2. show up early
The tournament will start sharp at 6:00 pm EST (for Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday) or 3:00 pm EST (for Saturday and Sunday). Participants who do not
show up in time will lose their seat! So please show up at least 20
minutes prior to the event and join the chat. The tables will open 10
minutes prior to the game.

3. watch the leaderboard
To be informed about the ongoing games, you can watch the leaderboard for
the event. It can be found - besides other important information - on
http://www.global-player.com/pages/04_lva.html. Click on your day to see
information about the ongoing game. We update it every minute, so hit
reload if you want to get the most up-to-date data.

4. join the chat
Again, we want to remind you that the easiest and fastest way to get in
touch with us is the chat function. To join the chat, please log into the
software using username, password and PIN. Then choose PLAYER INFO at the
left. A new window will show up. Here, you will find the CHAT button that
starts the chat. You will join the Lobby chatroom automatically. The
Global-Player Casino staff is available from 9 am EST until the tournament
finished. Ask if you have any questions, we are here to help you!

Thank you for participating in the tournament and good luck!

Your Global-Player tournament team

Thumbs up Much better

I got it this morning, I think their instructions in this one are much more informative, the only way you could mess up on this one is by not reading it. The only other thing that may have been helpful is to have a brief statement as to what to do in the event of a delay or systen hiccup like last week. It seems to me that they have a true interest in making this work well for all of us and are taking all our feedback to heart. Anyway, looking forward to getting my butt kicked tomorrow...
