    He got what he deserved!

I read the article, and they make it pretty clear that he broke the rules and then lied about it, but eventually confessed. The card counter comment in the article was not appropriate. Counting involves using your brain to improve the outcome for you. Cheating or breaking written tournament rules cannot be compared to this. Apples and oranges.

Where did the idea come from?

Where did the idea that counting cards is cheating ever come from? Casinos use their brains and figure the odds and angles before they offer a game to make sure they have the advantage. Why shouldn't a player be able to do the same? I have played blackjack for years and have never understood this. It is incredible that these huge casinos with all their wealth cry like babies about card counters, but no one complains about poker players who know the odds in their game and follow the cards to know the outs, etc. (and they shouldn't, its just smart play)

I think it is just another example of big American corporations expecting an unfair advantage over the consumer. Obviously I could go on and on with this one #@&*$#%^, but I won't.

I'd call that a pretty irresponsible comment and comparison from a gambling site.
