On my way down to Atlantic City yesterday, I noticed a billboard advertising WSOB qualifiers at AC Hilton on February 9-11. So, I called my host, asking for details. Depending upon your view of the world, the details are either amusing or absurd. In order to participate in the qualifier, you need to be 21, and physically present in Atlantic City on one of the qualifier dates. No entry fee required. When you sign up, they will assign you a table and starting time. You can only play once. You will play 10 hands, starting with $10k in chips with no maximum bet. A leaderboard will be posted and updated, containing the 10 highest scores over the qualifying period. At the end of the qualifying period, the 10 highest scores are winners! What do they win? They win a chance to interview with GSN for a spot in the WSOB.
