Hi guys, I'm posting here again after a few years.

I'm joining a small tournament with the following rules:

    6 players
    6 hands
    60 units
    10 units min bet
    No limit max bet
    No rebuy
    BJ pays even money
Top 2 players advance to the next table
    CSM dealt game

Any particular strategies specific for this format different from the basics? How would you play, assuming there are no APs playing (other than you)?

With no other APs participating and no maximum bet, you have a high chance of success by betting small at first and then taking them by surprise with a bet large enough to advance at the end. Inexperienced players tend to be afraid to make large bets.

If this is a regular event, they will learn quickly and copy this strategy. You can stay one step ahead by betting for an advancing position a bit earlier and then correlating with the table on the final hand(s).

Eventually you will find that the regulars start going all in on the final hand. Gain the upper hand here by holding back enough chips to advance if everyone loses.
