Same answer from me as on the other site you asked on. I haven't seen any online tournaments for decent money in a long time.
I know of a $3,000 BJT one held every 2 weeks with a $25 entry. +the place have simultaneously another $3,000 tournament (usually roulette or video poker) for $25 entry as well re-buys allowed. The place where you can play is GTbets (or two of its sister sites), the sites are honest with payments, I played on my own and made nice cash while these tourneys had a $5,000 pot. When they changed that to $3,000 I stopped playing. However, if you are looking for something extra, I can offer you a 5% to 20% monthly cashback on your loses (pure cash, no wagering) at online casinos (whenever you get a bad run), including for GTbets (this one have a 14% cash back). If you are interested for the extra deal which I give, please PM me your Skype ID [ or add mine: medenis84 ]. If you are not interested in the extra deal, then just Google GTbets and register. -- The tourneys are displayed only upon log in.
Sorry to hear that ! But are you sure ? Have you tried to sign up and it said something "not allowed from UK" ? Seems strange to me because I see both "USA" and "United Kingdom" in the sign up form available for selection.
Yes, I also emailed them to ask if any other associated site accepted users from the UK. But my daughter lives in New York, so I'll join via her.
Good to hear you've found a workaround ! I hope that will do the trick for you and not reach the same issue. I really don't understand why UK is available for selection on the registration page if UK folks are not accepted?
Looks like we may not have casino tournaments for a while. Any suggestions for online tournaments? I am in Missouri, are they even legal here?
Hello all, and sorry for the long absence, I had to deal with all the Covid-related hardships striking freelancers like me here in Europe. Nevertheless, after several hundred hours of coding and testing, I have put online a nice little, yet simplistic-spartan, BJ-tournaments training web-based app, where you can play in real-time against real players ! It's still in beta-version (last reported bug was one year ago, though), but I regularly hold free tourneys with real prizes (thanks to diverse local sponsors) to win for paying subscribers, in order to avoid "carnival play" (among other things). Because of this, I had to abide belgian law on that matter, and make French the official language, so don't be surprised. Besides, if you subscribe as a "premium" player (also to support the site and my efforts), your performances will be "track-recorded" and taken into account for the "permanent two-advance challenge" starting Feb., 20th 8pm GMT ! Tournaments are scheduled, just like the ones featured on Anthony Curtis' late playsite play.lasvegasadvisor.com, most of them taking place on mondays, wednesdays and fridays at 8-9 pm GMT time. Let's check if north american folks can isolate/hide to join in while at work... ^^ Welcome to https://play.bbjto.be , and have a great new year 2021 ! (Nomen est omen... ;-) ) KungFox
Oh, the schedule ("lobby") hides behind "s'inscrire" (sign in) and then "se connecter" (log in), on the corner up right ! Pardon my french ! Once you've clicked on "s'inscrire", you'll have to simply enter a valid e-mail-address and a nickname (besides name, surname and City, which don't get public), and you're good to go... To leave a table, click the "back" button of your browser, then refresh the page and click on the red "abandonner" (quit) Once a tournament has started, be sure to never refresh the page or let your phone get locked ! Otherwise, you'll get replaced by a bot. Next Sit-n-Go-BJT starts in less than four hours ! Who will dare to challenge the best french-speaking players ?
I was hesitant to sign up since I really don't have any idea who you are but, looking at your history here, I see that your participation here has been constructive, so I took the chance. Looks like Ken's e-books are advertised for sale there! It looks like the next event is as 20:00 Jan 8 (tomorrow) followed by 20:01 (for overflow?), 21:00 and 21:01. Since you are based in Belgium, I'm assuming that means GMT+1 so that would be 2pm EST, 2:01pm, et cetera. It would be nice if your site displayed times using the local time of each player. I'm Canadian, so I know enough French to get by, but could you please post in English here the tournament rules? How many hands per round? Any elimination hands mid-round? Starting bankroll, maximum bet, minimum bet? Blackjack rules (how many decks? penetration? S17/H17? double on any 2 cards? double on blackjack? double after split? number of splits allowed? resplit aces? Surrender? Insurance? Even Money for Blackjack vs Ace?) Does the dealer take a hole card? If not is it ENHC? OBO? Any other special rules (double down card face down? Blackjack pays 3:2? 2:1?, secret bets?) Anything I've missed? It seems that your program supplies bots when needed. it would be nice to be able to play any time vs bots or anyone who happens to be logged in at the time (true sit-n-go). I'll have more suggestions after I've played tomorrow. Hopefully other players show up!
In some games, the dealer does not take a hole card. He takes his second card after the players have finished playing their hands. In this case, the two most common variants are: ENHC - European No Hole Card - All bets lost if the dealer has a blackjack after you have doubled and/or split. OBO - Original bet only - Only the original bet is lost if the dealer has a blackjack after you have doubled and/or split.
Thank you. Be assured, no spamming from my part, here. I just took some 400 hours from my (lockdown) time to hone this web-based app, as BJT activity & schedules came down to nil in 2020. As I have little proficiency in coding, I was dependant on the free time and good will of developers I hired for that project, so don't get mad if you don't find all the features we are accustomed to, ok ? Exactly ! Looks like I was so enthusiastic about the functioning of my baby that I forgot the essential part, my bad ! The standard tournament rules are : - Hands per round : 21 by 3 & 7 players, 24 if 4 or 6 players are present, 25 for 5 players - No elimination hand / knock-out card whatsoever - BR 6 000, Minbet 50, Incr. 50, Maxbet 2 000 (can vary for prized tournament tables) - Infinite deck (like dealt from a CSM), S17, DOA, DOBJ, DAS, up to 4 split hands, Resplit Aces OK, Surrender OK except : against Ace / soft player hand (belgian rules), NO Insurance, but even money for BJ vs. Ace - Pure ENHC -rule - DD cards always up, BJ pays 3:2, NO secret bets I think most players will find these rules quite "liberal". These are the rules I managed to get adopted by casinos in Belgium after several years of "lobbying" and by which we now play and train for lucrative tournaments. Sorry, too expensive ! ^^ Instead of SnG, I should have spoken about scheduled one-table-tournaments, just like the BJT software on Anthony Curtis' site at the time. With 68 active accounts from 6 countries already, odds are you won't be on your own "tonight" ! Thank you for your attention, I look forward to greeting you there ! Tournfully yours, YVB / KungFox
Thanks for the information! I have a couple of questions: So, for example, I can't surrender A,3 vs any dealer card? And I can't surrender any hand vs an ace? The next tournament starts in less than 3 hours, but registration for it is not yet open. When does that open?
Exactly ! Access to the table is unlocked one hour before tournament starts. Once you are in, do not let your screen get refreshed, otherwise, it's considered a forfeit / quit / disconnect and you are replaced by a bot in autoplay mode (minbet & stand). à tantôt,
