    Hi there-

I have one copy of James Grosjean's Exhibit CAA: Beyond Counting (2009, Hardcover), I purchased it in 2009. The book's condition is very good. But there is one problem, that is, the book is too mathematical for my brain, and it's hard to read/study for me. So, the book is not for me. I think, perhaps, smarter people are looking for the book. If you have interest in the book, please e-mail me to:

    susumu188@gmail.com

    Thank you

    EDIT:
For Blackjack Tournament Players, the Chapter 9 of the book, page 301-310, is about BJ Tournament Strategy. There are lots of mathematical formulas, equality and inequality, very hard for me to read/understand.

    EDIT2:
According to this Grosjean's blog site,
    http://beyondnumbers.lvablog.com/about/

"used copies have sold on eBay for as much as $2,700".

Be careful with this. The OP wants to be paid via wire transfer.

I hope payment method is Bank-to Bank wire transfer. Because, I don't know other method. I stopped using PayPal. If there is better method, I will consider, of course.

He tried to sell it on Wong's site a few weeks ago and was lowering the price hourly.

Yes, that's right. I tried to sell the book at Wong's free message board. But there were no bidders. And I was banned presumably due to commercial activity (selling a book). So, I came here.

    I hope $2,500 USD.

I deeply understand people's natural concern for the payment method of wire transfer. It's very dangerous and risky for buyer. So, how about the following way,

Suppose, the price is, say, $2,500 USD.
First, the buyer pay $1,000 USD by wire transfer.
Secondly, the seller, after receiving the money, will send the book.
Then finally, the buyer, after receiving the book, will pay $1,500 USD by wire transfer.
This above method will greatly reduce buyer's risk.

Currently, I feel, the price $2,500 USD is fairly reasonable and generous offer.

    Regards

    Susumu

No offense, but I wouldn't take that risk for $100.

Put it on e-bay. Most of prior sales were on eBay.

The problem is, I am currently staying in Lima Peru and I stopped using PayPal for some years . So, using eBay is very hard for me.

Perhaps, I should reduce the price for inconvenience.

    Grosjean wrote 2 editions.
1.) First edition, Beyond Counting, Paperback, 2000
2.) Second edition, Exhibit CAA: Beyond Counting, Hardcover, 2009

    According to this,
    http://wizardofodds.com/gambling/book-reviews/
    First edition is 223 pages.
    Second edition is 669 pages.

I have never seen first edition of Beyond Counting (2000). If it contains same contents about Blackjack Tournament strategy, then buying cheaper first edition would be reasonable decision for BJ tournament players.

My bad. (I seem to be having a hard time reading Web sites today). I searched for exhibit CAA and did not notice that the book that came up was Beyond Counting.

Then, how about the following way,

Suppose, the price is $2,500 USD.
    Buyer pre-pays $500.
Seller, after receiving money, will send the book.
Buyer, after receiving the book, will pay $2,000.

Both buyer and seller will be happy.

You are going to have to find another way to get paid for this. Look at it from our point of view - You're outside of the US, you're asking someone to front you, on good faith only, a healthy chunk of cash for a very expensive item (as far as books go). If you do turn out to be a shyster, the front money is gone. Only a complete fool would take you up on that deal, and there are damn few stupid people inhabiting this site. Find another way.
