CET Tournaments???

Are there going to be any more tournaments at CET properties this year? Seems like they got a good start this year, but now nothing.

 

CET properties in Las Vegas are now alternating tournament games... not just locations:

Blackjack (Harrah's) and Baccarat (Paris) in January
Blackjack (Bally's) in February
Craps (Paris), Blackjack (Flamingo) and Slot (Linq) in March
Baccarat (Paris) and Slot (Caesar's) in April [I made the semi-finals at the Baccarat tournament]
Roulette (Paris), Craps (Planet Hollywood) and Slot (Caesar's) in May

Most tournaments are 75k, 100k or 150k prize pools and are well run with only 2 rounds to reach the quarter-finals. Re-buys are a modest $100. Semi-finalists get paid $750, $1000 or $2000 and all prizes, including finalists, are paid with PUL ("good") promo chips or slot voucher prizes. Good tournaments.

The Venetian continues their monthly Blackjack and/or Baccarat tournaments at 50k-75k, but with several drawbacks. There are numerous rounds (4 just to get to the quarter-finals) which allows for increased revenue with high re-buy fees of $250-$300. Also, prizes are awarded in 1-time play ("bad") promo chips. In addition, their casino floor blackjack games have player unfriendly rules and almost all of their roulette games now have 3-green spots ( 36+0+00+1 for a total of 39 spots with no change in payouts... an added 2.5% or so casino advantage).

I'll stick with CET tournaments.

My list is for tournaments so far this year (2021). There will certainly be more during June-December.

Any news about CET blackjack tournaments this year??? I thought for sure there would be something by now. Could this be yet another thing El Dorado is doing away with???

 

I just walked in the door from a cruise and found several items in my mail. Downtown Las Vegas "theD" has a 50K BJ tournament November 11-14 and in Reno the El Dorado ( part of "the ROW") has a Blackjack tournament December 3-4 (always well run). Also, Treasure Island in Las Vegas has a 2-part Blackjack and Baccarat tournament November 5 & 6... play in one or both. Venetian continues to have 1 blackjack tournament a month (75K-100K-150K).

No detailed information on any of these yet, and still no CET tournaments. May be more info in my email but I haven't checked yet.

 

Since the WSOP seems to be scheduled and taking place this year, any chance CET will resume their Blackjack tournaments anytime soon???

 

Any word at all on any CET Blackjack tournaments yet?? Getting tired of the e-mails for the Roulette tournament at the Cromwell next month!!
