Wish i would have read all of this earlier. I sqeaked by with 2220 because i played minimal bet all the way in the second round. Played stupid first round but feel good about moving on. Does this rounds this week carryover. I have heard top 3 from each table make it... Thanks for the post Steve.

  2. Accumulation

Assuming you advance, the remaining rounds of the tournament are accumulation, i.e., chip count carryover from one round to the next. You can buy additional chips at the beginning of the second, third and semi-final rounds. Good luck!

  4. 3rd Round

Wayne, I play at 6:45, but I don't know which table? I took second place with a total of $4,200. I know you had $4,100 or so. I think Larry is staying in Lawton, so he may not have access to this message board. Do you know what his chip count is? What about BJMailman?

I didn't make it. Larry has 5200. What was the wildcard?

  6. Wildcard

I was told the 2nd round wildcard cutoff was $4,100. Hopinglarry, Wayne and I played at 6:45 last night. Congrats to Wayne for making it to the semi-finals and the $$$! He moves forward with $18K plus. Should be enough with the additional $10K buyin to make a run at some big money. Wayne, let us know how you come out tonight? Best of luck!

The pit boss said they are going to continue the $100000 tournaments with a smaller hourly requirement. Then again at the end of the year have another $250000 tournament. I hope this is true, so I can have some more chances at the money. I'll keep all informed.

Sorry for the delay but ended up in 14th place. I started with 28k and played conservative until hand 22. At hand 27 i had 60K and was 9K behind leader at my table. I bet 15K with a 7/2 andoubled against dealer showing a 7. I hit and got my ten for a 19. dealer draws out to 20. From there dealer won the rest of the hands with a nice BJ on hand 30. I was close but didn't make final.

The next $250000 BJ tournament is Nov 29 thru Dec 16 2010. They made it 3 weeks long this time and 25 hours to qualify. I think to discourage out-of-towners. All else is the same. Same rules, rounds, payouts, etc.

260 signed up. I play Wednesday. I think they let some extras in to fill it.

So far things are going the same as last year. A lot of no shows and bust outs. So many people don't understand accumulation rounds.

For the first week only 174 survived with chips. 168 advance. 168th had less than 400. Any guesses on what it will take to advance? At the beginning of the tournament I thought it might take 2000 to make it, but now it might be less than last years 1800. We'll see.

  20. I don't get it?

That is an amazingly low chip count (>$400) for the 168 cutoff IMO. Looks like a $1K or less total will feed the bulldog. However, maybe more players will wise up and play for making the second round instead of winning the table with an all-in last hand.
