My group will be staying over Sunday night. Might be a good night to "attack" the house.:)

How could you think such a thought? Shame on you!

    Either One

So is it 8PM Saturday? To listen to LeftNut you would think some of us are drinkers OR losers (I've been BOTH, lately). Saturday works for me. I typically don't stay over on Sunday night but it has possibilities. Also, thanks for responses regarding Saulte casino conditions.
To Dan Mayo, I would recommend doing business with Ken Smith for VP things as he's the guy that provides us with this site AND BJ info site. Many, many years ago I purchased "Professional Video Poker" by Stanford Wong. It is good but may be somewhat outdated. Ken could answer that and provide you with the latest "good stuff".

Well, odds are that by Saturday night at least some of us will be lookin' to find ways to forget what happened! :p
Absolutely! Sure hope nobody thought I was trying to take away from Ken's enterprise, as the intent was simply to point out the various software options.

Billy, while I'm not familiar with your Wong's PVP program, it probably handles 9/6 JoB quite well.
That's the grandfather of all VP games, so I'd bet it's in there.

It was fun meeting some of this crew

I had a great time up at St. Ignace, enjoyed meeting several of you there and playing some quality blackjack. I had to leave right after getting beat in the semi-finals. If someone could post some of the names of who made the finals and how they finished, I would be interested.

    Best regards, J

    Hi,

A dark haired portly lady around 40 won first place, easily, the gray haird 60 something guy won second easily, then I believe Tony Soprano was 3rd and I believe Peggy was 4th or 5th, 2 people busted out around the 30 hand.

Yes, It was nice meeting so many people and great playing with another AP such as yourself, just wish it had been for more than the few rounds we played before you went to the semi's.

Thanks, CP. "Tony" was tough, had to make a run at him and couldn't catch a hand. Hope you change your mind about coming up for the next one.

I agree! I sure hope that Creeping Panther changes his mind and is at the next tourney.

    Mr. Jon21 and Schultzy

Thanks for the thought, very kind.

It was also great meeting Sir and Mrs Leftnut and Mr.C.,,,very nice indeed.

My thoughts are with our mutual friend "Joseph" who is a great Tourney Player and a *wonderful human being *who will be undergoing a serious 9 hour spine surgery this week. He was so looking forward to the Ignace Tourney which he did play in and made it to the 2nd round, fighting back great physical pain.

I and all members of the "MMOA", (which many of you here are), wish him the very best and extend to him our prayers and most positive of thoughts.

We also enjoyed finally meeting so many of our BJT.com friends there, and seeing Billy C & DanMayo again. :D

    Another Well Run Tourney

    All,

Yes it was good meeting and playing with/against all of you again (sorry Schultzy :D ).

My first goal was to make it past the 1st round without the re-buy and I did. It was looking pretty good for me during the second round and then BJ Sweetie got her max bet BJ on around hand 40 (of 42) which bumped me down into 3rd (2 advanced). Just not enough hands left to catch up against such a skilled player.

We will be back in June for the 2 deck pitch format, hope to met up with all you folks again.

Last year it was MonkeySystem in my first round, this year I draw Mr. Mayo. Had a chance on hand 42 and then mis-played things. Was able to recover and win my next two rounds and make the semi's, so it wasn't a total loss, plus my significant other made the finals!

    Was enjoyable!

I too, enjoyed seeing again, Schultzy and his "posse", LeftNut and Deb, DanMayo, Jonny21, and especially meeting Creeping Panther for the first time.
Like others have indicated, he's just too nice of a guy to stop playing the tourney and socializing with us.
Lastly, if anyone found me to be less than freindly, I must tell you that I've been sick since March 10 (still am) but I have hopes of getting over my stubborness or "bullheadedness" and going to the doctor soon.
The sad truth is that I'm paying well over 10K per year for health insurance ($4,000 deductable) and I've already spent well over 6K this year for noncovered things like dental, etc.
Guess I need to realize that health has to be priority and cut some corners elsewhere (hopefully not BJ tournaments).
I also, regret that I didn't talk to BJ Sweetie and her husband and several nice people from WI that were there.
    Best regards to all!!!

    Mr.C.

Thank you for the very kind words.

I am sorry to hear that you have been ill and I did not find you unfriendly at all.

I really wish we had all gotten together on Saturday night as planned

I hope you begin to feel better and that all will be positive for you. Yes, health care costs are a MAJOR problem in the country today, but *please* you just go ahead and see the doctor.

I was very happy to see everyone and meet new friends, all were most

It is really a great group!

I have had some emails and phone calls regarding our friend Joseph. He had a spinal fusion on his back Wednesday. The surgery was done to relieve the pain that he has been living with for the last couple of years. He has been in a wheel chair his entire life. Despite that, he has maintained a positive outlook on life. Less than two years ago, he played in his first ever Blackjack Tournament and won a brand new 32-thousand dollar convertible!

The surgery was a total success and he is just going through the normal post-op pain. He will be in the hospital for at least another month and expects to be back on the BJ circuit in May.

That's some excellent news! Deb and I both regret that we didn't meet Joseph, but we send our congratulations and best wishes for a very speedy recovery.

    Billy,

PLEASE take the time to see a Doctor. Peggy is a nurse and when we started dating she dragged me to the doctor. I kicked and screamed the whole way too! It turns out that my cholesterol level was off the charts. I had a good diet, it was something that was hereditary. Things are better now, but she saved my life. FYI, she is going to ask you at Jackpot Junction if you have been to the doctor! So you have TWO weeks to get a check-up!
