Does UBT still exist in any form? All the online sites I can remember the names of are either dead or have been hijacked.

Is there still a variant of UltimateBet offering poker and EBJ to those outside the U.S?

And does the club (PlayUBT/clubuwin) still exist under yet another name?

I tuned out of this soap opera a long time ago, but with Dallas once again on our screens I'm starting to feel nostalgic for the old days!:D

    UBT long gone.

UltimateBet also gone now, with a recent ruling that all their assets are to be forfeited to the US government. See Zweeky's post here:
    http://www.blackjacktournaments.com/bb/showpost.php?p=46655&postcount=26

PlayUBT morphed a couple of times, and is now ClubWPT.com

Amid much political wrangling, progress is being made with US online poker. The first to go live should be South Point in Las Vegas.
    See here:

Both political parties are making noise about causing trouble over online gambling, but hopefully our do-nothing Congress will continue to do nothing until it's too late.

    Thanks, Ken.

So is ClubWPT now the only place (either online or bricks-and-mortar) offering EBJ?

I was vaguely aware that progress is being made towards legalising online poker in the U.S., seemingly on a state-by-state basis. I inadvertently got myself on a mailing list when I signed up for an IT conference and checked a box saying I was interested in online gaming. I'd call it spam, except the articles are often quite interesting.

You may already be aware of it, but if not the web site containing the articles is http://www.igamingbusiness.com

I just checked their website and it does appear that ClubWPT still offers EBJ. To my knowledge they would be the only venue.

    EBJ - WPT site

Yes, WPT does offer EBJ freerolls and a few $20/$50 games throughout the day. Certainly not in proportion to their poker games. Although I play both, I have been more successful in winning cash from EBJ. There is a $19.95 monthly membership fee. It is certainly not lucrative when it comes to padding the pocketbook, but good for honing skills...

BTW, need to put in a plug for our kinda-new-to-the-market vacation rental house. Special spot if anyone wants to experience the Texas coast. Come visit us! @ VRBO.com #387959 (Thanks, Ken, for allowing me to advertise...we need the cash so we can see all of you again at those BIG BJ tournaments! Missing ya'll!)

If you take the time to mail in a postcard once per month, then the fee is waived. Details are buried in the terms and conditions on the web site.

    Not a detail person

That's what I get for clicking "Accept" w/out reading the fine print. Got my stack of postcards ready! Thanks!
