Does UBT still exist in any form? All the online sites I can remember the names of are either dead or have been hijacked. Is there still a variant of UltimateBet offering poker and EBJ to those outside the U.S? And does the club (PlayUBT/clubuwin) still exist under yet another name? I tuned out of this soap opera a long time ago, but with Dallas once again on our screens I'm starting to feel nostalgic for the old days!
UBT long gone. UltimateBet also gone now, with a recent ruling that all their assets are to be forfeited to the US government. I was vaguely aware that progress is being made towards legalising online poker in the U.S., seemingly on a state-by-state basis. I inadvertently got myself on a mailing list when I signed up for an IT conference and checked a box saying I was interested in online gaming. I'd call it spam, except the articles are often quite interesting. You may already be aware of it, but if not the web site containing the articles is http://www.igamingbusiness.com
I just checked their website and it does appear that ClubWPT still offers EBJ. To my knowledge they would be the only venue.
EBJ - WPT site Yes, WPT does offer EBJ freerolls and a few $20/$50 games throughout the day. Certainly not in proportion to their poker games. Although I play both, I have been more successful in winning cash from EBJ. There is a $19.95 monthly membership fee. It is certainly not lucrative when it comes to padding the pocketbook, but good for honing skills... BTW, need to put in a plug for our kinda-new-to-the-market vacation rental house.
