With buffalo run shutting down its blackjack tournament I am looking for input on a new place to travel to once or twice a year. Really enjoyed going there and how they ran it,hoping to find something similar Thanks for the help

If you can justify the level of play to get the invitations, the larger events at Beau Rivage are well run.
No idea what’s happening there in the future though. At the last event they mentioned that the property was looking at making some changes.

If you're willing to travel, the Blackjack 21 tournament in Niagara Falls Canada has been well run for many years and hosts open events at least four times a year. It's also a very nice place to visit. All events up until March of next year are already on our calendar here.

If I have Ewok pegged correctly, he resides in Ohio??? That would make the Beau almost drive prohibitive. Niagara would be a closer venue for he and his wife.
Another possibility is Grand Casino at Hinckley, MN. Typically on the Thursday and Friday preceding both Memorial Day and Thanksgiving they have a good event. Not big but 10k for first is guaranteed and the purse is usually increased for other placers (directly proportionate to number of entrants). They also give Thursday night free room in their nice hotel.

The Caesars invitationals at Las Vegas are pretty good and you can fly Allegiant from a lot of places for less than 200 rt.
I am going august 19 $120 rt from Springfield Mo

Sorry, I thought you were a different person. I've never been to the gulf coast because of driving distance (you and I share that problem) but now it's even more a definite consideration.
My goal is to be able to piggyback at least two events for trip justification.

I have to have 2 events also, it is 700 miles for me, I sometimes fly but that is $450 to $750 to Gulfport or if schedule works go to Destin for $100. Did not count last weekend as 2 events since beau was heads up. Wonder of any of our friends did good at Hard Rock.

How do you fly to Destin for $100? Mobile, AL used to have occasional good flight but haven't seen one in a long time. Their rental cars are cheaper than NOLA so it may be worth paying more for a flight and less for a car. Plus it's closer to Biloxi. Southwest is sometimes very affordable to MSY (NOLA), but rental car cost, traffic and travel times can be a problem.

That 20$ per segment deduction if you buy at airport saves a lot. Not well publicized. I have used for years like my last purchase Springfield Las Vegas, I bought at Salt lake since I was on a trip and watch fares often they fluctuate.
