I just talked with Orel about going to play in a blackjack tournament and he informed me about playing in the Head to Head Poker Tournament on NBC. Orel was one of the 64 contestants this year and is a pretty damn good player (both in blackjack and poker). I think you'll be surprized in his showing.
I played poker with Orel at an invite poker tournament in Vegas last year. It was about 75 players, 1/4 of which were MLB players and former players. The other 3/4 were high rollers. Orel won the tournament. Super nice guy. Not a bad golfer, either -- though Dice-K kicked everyone's ass on the course.
Very nice guy I agree Orel is a very nice guy and no suprize that he is a good golfer. He told me that after his success on the Head to Head event, that he is entertaining offers for sponsorship from a number of poker sites.
