I just updated the SSL security certificate at BlackjackTournaments.com to the latest standards. (Switching from the SHA-1 hash to the more secure SHA-256.)

If you have any trouble accessing the site, I would like to hear about it.

Specifically, if you're on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or earlier, there may be a problem. XP SP3+ should be fine.

Versions of Android before 2.3 may also have issues with the new certificate.

Why make the change? Google's Chrome browser is beginning to sunset support for the older hash standard, and doing it much sooner than anyone expected.

Google is now reporting a new vulnerability in a very old SSL protocol (SSL3), which I have now disabled on the server for all of my sites.
The change should only effect visitors using Internet Explorer 6, which represents less than 1% of traffic to my sites.
However, those users will no longer be able to access BJT at all.

If you are still running an out of date browser or operating system, you will likely find that more and more sites stop working for you.
    It's time to upgrade.
