Here is Stacy's story, after what Stacy went thru Stacy deserves the win:
On June 2 and 3 of 2006. I played in a 150,000 Blackjack Tourn. at the Grand in Tunica. Until this I loved it there and had never had even the smallest complaint. They treated me well. Of course I spent well up into the 6 figures there over 6 or 8 years. Anyways, I made it to the semifinal round 23rd hand and the dealer mispaid me on a blackjack. I bet 2500 (the Max) At the time i was behind at my table and there were only 3 hands left. Also only 1 player at the table,(5 players total) got to go to the final table and the big money. So I had no choice bet big and win or lose and go home. Anyway, the dealer only paid me 2250 and said my bet was 1500 not 2500. They reviewed the tapes and said they were inconclusive. The Tourn. Director Rob Winkler said " If the 1500 makes a diffence in the end I will make this right" Understand also I was way behind the leader and the odds were against me. Well in hand 24 i won 5000 (I doubled down) in hand 25 I won 2500. They counted the chips and I was 700 or 800 behind the leader and they did nothing after promising to make it right. In a hearing they now even deny saying it. Also they claim the video is so poor because they cram 24 hours of video on an 8 hour tape and reuse them 35 times a year. I spent almost 3 grand hiring a forensic tape specialist. He found that I was right. They claim there is no such thing as any type of video enhancement EXCEPT ON TELEVISION.
On 10/28/06: From Stacy: By MS. gaming laws the casino was supposed to notify the Gaming Comm. of my compliaint since it was over $500.00. They did not. And have admitted this to Gaming Comm. Also Gaming Comm., if they rule in my favor, will force the Grand to put me in a like tourn. in the future, at the final table. Still I'm out about 5 Grand so far and can't get that back unless I sue in civil court. Also the General Manager, who offered me 3 grand a couple of days after the incident, but refused to admitt any wrong doing, has put some distance between him and the Tourn. Director. Also the Shift manager has done the same. The paper work which the Gaming Comm. asked them to produce has vanished. Everyone at the casino is blaming the Tourn. Director who is the one that is lieing and caused the mess to start with.
On 12/30/06 from Stacy: Just got my verdict from the Miss. Gaming Comm. hearing examiner. The Judge found in my favor. The Grand, after 7 months of lieing, has now been ordered to put me at the final table of the next 150,000 blackjack tourn. No thanks to Robert Winkler at the Grand who got caught destroying evidence in my case, but in the end the hearing examiner caught his misdeed and saw it for what it was. I want to say in the end the system (Miss. Gaming Comm.) worked. Or at least pretty well. My justice still cost me almost 5 grand, but at least the big machine was slowed at least a bit, by the little guy.
