Since you promote tournaments, what is your idea of you promoting one like this for blackjack. Seems like a large prize for small entry fee (as little as $60-$230 depending on casino if you do not need rebuys). And I was told the promoter is getting $10,000 from each host casino, plus $ from advertisers. Hollywood, you might want to check it out. See details at: http://www.finaltablechallenge.com/index.php
Thanks for the info Pokernut, dealing with the casinos about blackjack tournaments is like pulling an elephant thats sitting down, it takes alot of work and still not going to happen...lol I've tried to show them how they could run tournaments with no cost to them, I've tried to get them to hold tournaments that the finals would be on TV, and I've tried to get them to host tournaments where they made money off the top and still no go. Now the big thing is poker, until we can crack throught with some high ratings on a blackjack TV show the casinos will keep treating us like second class citizens. I've said this several times before, but other then Jimmy (Ceasars), Les (LV Hilton), and Ike (New Frontier) none of the managers at the casinos seem to care about the players or making them happy. These managers allow everybody to play in there events because they understand anybody can win in a blackjack tournament and their really is no big advantage over another player. I am still waiting for the GSN "World Blackjack Tour" to start up, this will help. I'd also like to see some more final tables on TV with average players winning, that would be a big draw for new players.
