New owners and a new name again at the former LV Hilton. If you're looking for LVH in the listings, it's now known as Westgate Las Vegas.
We were there last month and were told that about 200 of the suites will be converted to timeshare units. The hotel and casino will continue to operate as usual but they plan to invest a lot of money sprucing up the place. Only noticeable changes so far are being accosted every time you go through the lobby or up the elevator to buy timeshare. Will be back next month and let you know if anything else has changed.
Hi Ken and fellow BJers. I am a new old member ( first signed up in 2011 ), who had not posted. Followed postings about Kewadin ( played in the September 2013 tournament at the Soo ). Regarding Westgate LVH, I was comped a 5 night stay over New Years, with a New Year's Eve gala, free play chips and rounds of golf. They really went all out. We also had another comp on the strip. Stayed 1 night, and checked out. We liked Westgate a whole lot more. They are promoting timeshares, but went by their desk in the lobby several times and was never hassled once. Not a put off at all. Would suggest going to the VIP lounge, next to check in, and ask to see a host. Going back to Vegas at the end Febuary for the Paris $ 150K invitatational tournament ( through Total Rewards ), and the March Westgate $ 50K tournament. Hope to meet up any one going to Kewadin, Four Winds, Turte Creek and Firekeepers tournaments.
