I went up to play in the T at Harrah's Prairie Band Casino (Topeka Ks.)
It was a $100 entry fee, but they had changed the rules and didn't say anything about the rule change.
Last time it was 3 players from the first table move on. (made it)
Second round top 2 players move on. (made it)
Third round only the top player moves on to the finals. (oops, didn't make it)
This time, three tables per session and the top TWO move on, BUT not the top two from each table. The top two from ALL three tables. In other words you are playing against 20 other players at once.
Say you have $3,000 and it is the last hand, what do you bet ???
You don't know if the right bet is $25 or $3,000. You don't know what the other tables are doing.
Also, if you get a hot dealer you may win your table and still not be close to moving on.
I thought it was a very poor format.
I got my money back and didn't play in it........
