Official rules: By email on request *** Details below are from the Dec 12, 2010 tournament *** Highlights of official rules: Black Jack rules of play: 6 decks, dealer hits s17, no surrender, blackjack pays 3/2, no double on blackjack, double on any two other cards face up, no doubling for less, 3 splits allowed (for a total of 4 hands), split aces receive 1 card each face up, otherwise, double after split is allowed. Format: 3 rounds accumulation/elimination. Full tournament is 56 players. 6:45pm: Welcome 7:30pm: Round 1: Accumulation: - Each player plays two separate sessions of 14 hands each - 1st session: $5,000 bank roll, $25 min, $2000 max, $25 unit - 2nd session: $5,000 bank roll, $25 min, NO MAXIMUM - Chip count after hand 12 - Top 21 players advance based on combined accumulated totals of both sessions. Bank roll is reset to $5,000 for the second session. Round 2: Elimination: - 3 tables of 7 players each - $5,000 bank roll, $25 min, NO MAXIMUM, unit $25 - 21 hands - Chip count after hand 19 - Top 2 players at each table advance Final Table: - 6 advancing players from round 2 plus one wild card draw winner - $5,000 bank roll, $25 min, NO MAXIMUM, unit $25 - 21 hands - Chip count after hand 19 Comps: $20 in chips, cocktail reception, door prizes
