They usually give entrants a decent lunch (sandwiches, chips, deserts, soft drinks,etc.). By the entry fee it says $5 gratuity fee (must not be included?) Apparently no early entry---registration starts at 9:00 AM and first round at noon. First round has 7 people per table with top 2 advancing, quarter final (second round) has 6 per table with THREE advancing, semi final (third round has 6 per table with 1 advancing and 1 wild card is drawn to finals. Limited to first 210 entrants but I'll be shocked if it fills and prizes ARE guaranteed. $500 in nonnegotiable tournament chips will be issued to each player at the start of each round. 25 hands will be played. At the end of the 23rd, 24th or 25th hands, players may request a chip count. All chips must be separated by denomination and kept in full view on the table at all times. The dealing and wagering order for the tournament shall be a rotating first base format. A puck will rotate clockwise one active spot per hand. No partnerships shall be formed during the tournament and coaching from other players or non-players is not allowed. All bets must be made in $5 increments, with a minimum bet of $5 and a maximum bet of $200. The complete amount to be wagered must be placed in one motion, and bets cannot be changed after being placed. All bets must be placed in turn. No player will be allowed to pick up his wager until all cards are placed in the discard rack. At no time will any player or non-player be allowed to handle, alter or remove any cards being used at the Blackjack table. Players may only touch their cards using one hand; at no time will a player be allowed to pull his cards away from or off of the table. In the event of a misdeal, the hand will be considered dead. The hand will be re-started beginning with the same betting sequence. Any disputes will be handled immediately. Players may elect to insure Blackjacks. This is the only time in tournament play that a single $2.50 chip can be used. In the event of a tie, the players involved will play 5 hands to determine the winner or rank of finish.
