I've been delving into poker lately and am developing my skills in reading players. Similar to what I've done in blackjack tournaments I want to assign nicknames to my opponents based upon player type. Phil Hellmuth has published material...

In this tournament, unless you don`t catch a Royal you stand no chance at winning anything without using Gamble Feature. (Gamble Feature consist in dealer revealing a card and you to pick another card from 4 face down cards: - if you pick higher than what the dealer shows you win, if you pick equal rank its a tie and if you pick lower you lose) (The game is Jack or Better - so no jokers, no wild cards at the gamble feature)
“I saw a new twist on a blackjack tournament yesterday. It had a 21+3 side bet that was not limited by your blackjack wager. This was a 20 round tournament, with a $20 buy in, $1,000 in tournament chips and a $500 max bet on either bet. I ignored the side bet until the last hand. At that point the other three players left all had more chips than I had. I bet $10 on the BJ wager and $130 on the side bet. On that...
At the tourney table where 1 advances out of 6 and youre all playing the dealer, would it make sense to deviate from the basic strategy if it means you get to do the opposite of everyone else? Since youre all playing the same dealer, just as in blackjack, you will all have similar results. Let me give an example...
I'm searching for a way to compute the value of a tournament, comparing the entry fee to the prize money and factoring the number of entries etc. With that data, I want to be able to campare two or more choices and comparison shop just like at the grocery. Ideally, I'd like to be able to compare apples to oranges, and rank a BJ or Craps vs a Poker tourney.
Is ther a tool for this, or at least a formula that I can build in to a spreadsheet?
