AC Invitational Tournaments aren't too hot either
The most common format for AC invitational bj tournaments seems to be playing something like a shoe against the entire field of entrants with the top six advancing to the final table. Typical prize money is $25k. The Sands runs this kind of tournament most months. Harrahs seems to run a couple of these a year. I know Resorts used to run this kind of tournament fairly frequently, but I don't know if they still do. A few years ago both Taj and Trop would occasionally run some bigger prize fund invitational tournaments with the more standard table advance types of formats, but I don't believe that those kinds of tournaments occur very often any more in AC.
