I agree that the event is well organized and GN staff are very accommodating. I just like to take things on the cheap :)

Just a quick note to Noman's post - the VP at Golden Nugget recently underwent a massive downgrade across the house.
The best game in the house is now 9/5 JoB at 98.45%. Spot-checked it myself this week.

According to the flyer I received in the mail, three free nights are NOT included. Flyer simply indicated you would get a special casino rate. I have not played in this tournament for the past 3-4 years. I think that for an entry fe of $500.00, they should comp 3 nights. After all, The Orleans comps three nights in their invitational $30K BJ tournaments, which have a $150.00 rebut.

True on all counts. However, and this is the real deal, I can get ANYone three free nights at The D. Really. The only catches are that you must be a first-time guest of theirs and some blackout dates will apply (you gotta check with them for that). PM me for details. If you stay there you will do some walking as the Four Queens is between The D and the GN.

Not only that but they will not allow you to use your earned comped room for the nights of the tournaments. That is the official policy. People get around it by getting the comp room first and then registering for the tournament later.

Did anyone else notice that major tourneys aren't showing up on the event calendar?
