Double Exposure Blackjack at Comanche Red River

Looking for a good time to come up to Comanche Red River and play a few hours to qualify for a quarterly tournament?

On Wednesday, January 9 and Wednesday, January 16 they are doing double exposure blackjack. The last time they dealt the cards like this they gave away TONS of money, of course.

I heard the same thing. I didn't get a chance to get down there to get some of that money last time.
 
The dealers card will be exposed. You will know what the dealer has.

So, there will be lots of hitting on 17 and 18 if you know the dealer has 20.

The latest update I have is that it will only be on one table.
 
They are advertising it as all day long.

However, the tables don't open till noon, I think.

I think they will probably just do it for 12 hours, noon to midnight.

Other times, when a promotion was just for the day it promptly ended at midnight.

Still half a day, lots of time to make money

What are the table limits, and how many tables will be available? Are these hand held games, shoe games, CSM's?
 
I am unsure what the table limit will be. The highest limit at Red River is 500. However, if I had to guess, a total guess, I would speculate that the table max for this promotion would be 100.

There will just be the one table.

I don't really know what a hand held game is. They shuffle by hand each shoe.
 
Geez, if this is legit and ties push, I'd be there the day before, get the whole table, and max bet every space for 12 hours.

Before anyone thinks they'll be in the land of Milk And Honey, it would be best to take a look at the rules. I've never played a DOUBLE EXPOSURE game but the rules do vary from your standard BJ games. I found a summary of the variations in Stanford Wong's PROFESSIONAL BLACKJACK:
The big one first - The dealer wins pushes unless you both get naturals in which case nobody wins.
Naturals pay even money.
House advantage is 0.20% if dealer stands on soft 17.
House advantage is 0.60% if dealer hits soft 17.
If Naturals get paid (even money) on a push, add 0.20% for player.​

Naturally the odds will change with each rule variation but the important point is this may not be a money tree so tread cautiously.

Next, if someone still wants to give it a try because the house advantage is only 0.20% then you need to devote a fair amount of time to re-learning Basic Strategy. The 0.20% house advantage applies only if Basic Strategy for Double Exposure is applied with 100% accuracy. As in any game, if you don't know the best strategy then you are the :fish: . And that's the truth.
