Just for the "Record", and this must be said, is that the biggest problem that I have had with Hollyweed, is that he "speaks" and "acts" as if he is the "definitive expert" regarding Tournament Blackjack, when in fact that isn't the case at all!!

I’ve never heard HD claim to be the definitive expert regarding TBJ! Now he “thinks” he is the definitive expert with regard to EBJ, but not TBJ!

Just a little over 3 years ago, I remember playing with him in the first World Series of Blackjack Championship at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, as invited players. Prior to him playing his first round, he was standing back in the corner reading Stanford Wong's book on Tournaments, because he didn't have a clue about what to do or how to play the Tournament. Now here we are 3 years later, and not only does he publicy dis Wong and his book ("The Blackjack Tournament Bible, if you will, for so long"), but now comes out with a book touting himself as an EXPERT! Come on. Please!!

Whoa there Semper Fi! Maybe and just maybe he was cramming in some of the more intricate aspects of Table 4 on page 127! What happened in the WSOB match anyway? What you are referring to occurred three (3) years ago. A LOT can happen in 3 years! How many tournaments have YOU played in that time period! Apparently you’ve done something because you were “screened” and “invited” to the clickish UBT events as well as HD. So now HD has a book coming out! Good for him. It was initially supposed to come out around Thanksgiving but I heard that the printer had a problem with the color of the crayons! :joker:

Professionals in any given field, in most cases take years to hone their skills, bring credibility to themselves and their profession, and earn the reputation as an EXPERT. Sorry, but one doesn't become an expert at anything overnight (i.e. 3 years) just because he/she says it's so. Just doesn't happen.

If it weren't for the fact that he turns everyone "off" both professionally and personally, with his way overboard antics, we wouldn't even be having these posts. As promised, this is my final say regarding the issue, and in fact wanted to "put on record", my cause for consternation.

So “personality” is a criteria for being an expert? So how long does it take to be an expert? Ever hear of something called a phenom?

Finally, definitely won't be spending my hard earned money on his book, and in addition, will be working on putting in place a Challenge Match between just the two of us, Hollyweed and myself, the real "Badboy of Blackjack", for at least 1 million dollars, on national TV, and finally bring some closure to this whole thing, with ho holds barred...

My "luck" and radiating/captivating personality (As noted at the taping of the UBT match against him in Hollywood, where I OWNED the audience!), against his self-proclaimed EXPERT status...

I guarantee that the final result will not be pretty for him...

Look, anyone who’s been reading my posts for the past few months KNOWS how painful this is for me to stick up for HD!:vomit: Nevertheless HD is good for EBJ. He has a style and personality and isn’t a stick in the mud! Watching middle-aged white guys with grumpy expressions on their faces, looking like they just sucked on lemons, isn’t good TV – PERIOD!

If EBJ and TBJT is going to flourish it NEEDS exposure. No ifs, no ands and no BUTS….. EXPOSURE to the general public is what it needs to reach critical mass. Right now TBJ ISN’T there!

Hopefully with the WSOB satellites being “filmed” GSN can create with BJT what poker did with WPT or WSOP. Fortunately, or unfortunately, most of the WSOB participants are/will be experienced BJ “pro’s”. Maybe a “MoneyMaker” will be found in the satellites and rise to the top. Maybe some novice or newbie to the BJ scene will win his/her way to the top! We can only hope!

WSOB was a good FIRST STEP. UBT was a good SECOND STEP. It needs MORE! What it DOESN’T need is name calling, back biting and jealousy from the people that are trying to promote it!

You mention Zig Zigler and his philophies – good I have read his materials and been to the motivational seminars also. Somehow I DOUBT Zig would have approved of your recent attack on HD.
