The luck vs. skill topic has come up from time to time here for many years. Here's a pretty good article on it.

Applying the Luck vs. Skill analysis to the real world, Tom McEvoy (well known poker player and author) said this: "Skill is the ability to take advantage of the luck when it occurs". This would seem to apply to just about every final hand in a blackjack tournament, except often the "luck" never occurs!

A good read --- thanks! I had to chuckle at the term “blunder factor” which, unfortunately, from time to time, has applied very well to me.
