New weekly freerolls at Global, and monthly $6K event!

[KenSmith]

Last month's $6000 tournament at Global Player was quite a success I thought. (Of course, winning the top prize of $2700 might have prejudiced my opinion just a bit! :dude

Great news! It's now a monthly event, starting on August 28th, and continuing on the 4th Monday of each month. As before, they're guaranteeing a prize pool of $6000, and it could be higher as they are returning 100% of entries and reentries as prizes.

Here is the prize pool:

• 1st place: 45% (minimum $2,700)
• 2nd place: 25% (minimum $1,500)
• 3rd place: 15% (minimum $900)
• 4th place: 10% (minimum $600)
• 5th place: 5% (minimum $300)

In addition, on the first, second and third Mondays of the month, they're holding a Manic Monday Freeroll Challenge, with the following prizes:

• 1st Place: Free seat in the 2nd round of the $6,000 Guaranteed Blackjack Tournament
• 2nd Place: Free seat in the 1st round of the $6,000 Guaranteed Blackjack Tournament
• 3rd Place: $30 casino bonus
• 4th Place: $20 casino bonus
• 5th Place: $10 casino bonus

Global bites at blackjack21

Of course Global has many more players, but what a blocking move to offer a free roll, to get in a nice paying event, during the same time blackjack21.com is playing its Monday Night game.

competition

That's the beauty of competition, it's great for the consumer, more choice, and I'm glad to hear that BJ21 are offering an earlier tourney. I might be able to play in it without staying up all night!

Cheers

As a very low stakes player I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of appreciation for global-players efforts. I like the $5 happy-hour risk/benefit.
Gotta love their free-rolls and the idea of a free entry in the big game as the top prize is marketing genius. Finally, video poker tournaments where I get to play hundreds of hands for only $10 if I want (I know it's a bit off topic but it's part of the attraction).
