The first Tulsa WSOB qualifying seat goes to the man in the Cowboy Hat!

The bad news is it was the wrong cowboy hat...LOL.

I local Tommy Dyer won the seat on the last hand.

LHENRYC was down to the wire with Mr. Dyer on the final table.

Going into the last hand LHENRYC and Mr. Dyer were the only two left. LHENRY drew to an 18 while Mr. Dyer DD on his 10 catching a 10 for twenty. The dealer had a king up and flipped a 10 to push Mr. Dyer and give him the WSOB seat.

LHENRYC played great and had it not been for Mr. Dyer winning 3 of the last 4 hand (and the one was a push) LHENRYC would have run away with it.

It ended up being a heart breaker.

No luck for me either!

I won the first round and was BR2 (in round 2) going into the last hand on the button. I bet $900 and both players following me bet only $100 giving me 1st high. I'm dealt a 20 and the dealer shows a 5...dealer turns a 6 in the hole and paints it sending me home. Even a push and I advance. How sad that no BJT member has won a spot! I will want to rehash my last hand at some point but I'm wiped out tonight so I'll try to post some questions tomorrow.

Tulsa WSOB

I saw both LHenryC and Rick (BigTex) play an earlier WSOB qualifier in Tulsa and my observations were;

Lou is a player and his $60,000 Tunica win was not a fluke, Rick needs to throw away his Black Resitol and buy a Silver Belly Stetson, LOL.

In all sincerity, congratulations to both for making the final table and also to LuckyGem for her bad beat the last hand at the final table at another WSOB venue today.

Teased me all night

I couldn't win two hands in a roll last night and still was in it at the end. Hand #17 (next to the last hand) I split my bankroll (bet $850 of my $1,700) which would have moved me into BR2, but I lost.

Now my only chance was to catch a BJ (pays 2-1) and at least three other players make stupid bets. Well They made stupid bets, (excet LHENRYC who covered me).

To tease me even more my first card was an ACE! Now I'm thinking I can pull this off, but a 7 for my second card ended any chance I had of advancing.

The BJ would have given me BR2 behind LHENRYC.

O'well at least I sent in my video...LOL.

Well TX, what can I say. You gave it your best shot but the card lords were not paying attention. You did get to the finals and for that you deserve a big round of applause.

At least you had an opportunity to try. My opportunity ended when the Ho-Chunk canceled their events. That's life.

Speaking of Ho Chuck....

I heard Ho Chunk got their new manager from Cherokee in Tulsa.

Seems Tulsa got rid of him (and from all I heard he was a jerk).

This same manager was the one who desided NOT to hold the WSOB qualifiers at Ho Chuck. And screwed GSN and all of us (or at least the players who were planning on playing there).

MMMmmm yes he sounds like a jerk all right.

To bad I heard he got arrested for wrong doing's by the gaming control up in WI after he treated all of us so well.

Wonder if some of the St. Louis Mafia had him taken care of...LOL

I didn't know he got arrested. Not withstanding the arrest, I guess that helps explain the sudden cancellation by the Ho-Chunk - that and the fact that player interest was lacking.
