According to this page in the UBT website, the Venetian event is $1,500 for the buy-in.
Did I miss something somewhere, or is this fresh news?

And who are the "celebrities" for the second TV table?

No, you didn't miss something - it's fresh news.

The Venetian UBT stop will have a $1,400+100 buy-in.

There will be a minimum guarentee of 100,000 (possibly more to be determined by next week).

Apparently your anology with the bowling event was what helped get this done Leftnut!

But seriously with a lower entry and guarenteed pot, and with certain BJT.com members at sea, this event is looking more and more attractive. Unlike the Palms it will be done in a trucated fashion - satellites Friday, Tournament Saturday and Final Table Sunday.

So, who's planning on going to this event? I'm planning on being there, and it will be my first UBT event.
